MONETARY AWARDS:

SHORT FILMS

The contest of short films will be divided into 2 categories

1) Documentary short film – short documentaries of up to 26 minutes of duration, whatever the country of origin

2) Fiction short film – short fiction film of up to 26 minutes in any country of origin.

The short films that are winners, that is to say that obtains the first position, in each one of these categories will receive the sum of £250 for each film.

FEATURE FILMS

The feature film competition will be divided into 3 categories:

1) International documentary feature film – documentary films of a duration equal to or greater than 52 minutes in any country of origin

2) International fiction feature film – feature films of duration equal to or greater than 52 minutes in any country of origin

3) National feature film – documentaries or fiction films whose director is of British nationality and they have been filmed entirely in the UK, of a duration equal to or greater than 52 minutes

 

The films that are winners, that is to say that they obtain the first position in each one of these categories will receive the sum of £500. In the case of winners who do not reside in the UK, the equivalent will be transferred at the exchange rate corresponding to the Bank of England exchange rates on the business day following the announcement of the winners. Non-transferable prize.

This monetary incentive does not apply to the short film that won the Public Vote award.

AWARDS

All awarded prizes in all categories will receive a statue of ‘Labour Film Festival International Contest 2017– film festival about work”, which will be presented at the awards and closing ceremonies of the festival or sent onto those unable to attend. The short films that will be awarded in all categories and will be shared across our social media platforms and on our website.
